Five parts of this series have documented what is broken in Bibb County Schools. Part 6, The Repair, is being built from your answers instead of mine, and the form closes Friday night, November 6.

Since the call went out, several teachers have told me their ideas are coming. So here is the part I should have said more plainly the first time: it does not have to be an essay. A short list is a perfectly good submission. Three lines, like this:

  • No district template lesson plans.
  • No faculty meetings that could have been an email.
  • A planning period that meetings cannot take.

That counts. Send five lines, send one line, send the thing you and every teacher in the building already know would change Monday morning. Your school, your district, the state, the whole country: every level is welcome. I will build Part 6 from what arrives, credited by name or kept anonymous, exactly as you choose on the form.

The form takes two minutes and closes Friday night.

What is broken, and how would you fix it? Three lines. Have at it.
