Slip Winston a Tip

Got something the public should know? Winston has his nose to the ground — and he’d love to hear from you.

You can share a tip anonymously — no name or contact info required. If you’d like me to follow up with you, include an email address or phone number, but that’s entirely your call.

What happens with your tip: I read every submission personally. If a tip checks out and is worth investigating, I may publish a story based on it. I’ll protect your identity — I won’t name you or reveal identifying details without your explicit permission.

A straight answer on confidentiality: I will do everything I can to keep your identity private, and I’ve never burned a source. But no one can promise absolute, 100% confidentiality in every conceivable circumstance (a court order, for example, is something no blogger can simply ignore). What I can promise is that protecting sources is a core principle here, and I’ll fight to keep your name out of it.

What makes a good tip: Specifics. Documents, dates, names, and firsthand accounts are gold. “Someone should look into the school board” is a nudge; “here’s the contract, here’s what it cost, here’s who signed it” is a story.

Winston thanks you. The watchdog never sleeps.
