I run Global Watchdog Media And Commentary (GWMAC.com) as a one-person operation, and I take your privacy seriously — not because a lawyer told me to, but because it’s the right thing to do. Here’s what happens with your information when you visit.

What I collect

• Comments: If you leave a comment, I collect the name, email address, and website you provide, plus your IP address and browser info (WordPress does this automatically to fight spam). Your name and comment are public; your email is never displayed.
• Newsletter signups: If you subscribe, I collect your email address so I can send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
• Contact forms: If you use the contact or tipline forms, I receive whatever information you choose to include.
• Analytics: I use Google Analytics to understand which articles readers find useful — things like which pages are popular and how long people stay. This data is aggregated and anonymous; I’m looking at trends, not tracking individuals.
