How GWMAC Is Funded
Global Watchdog has no paywall, no display ads, and no corporate owner. That independence is not free to produce, so readers reasonably ask how this site pays its bills. Here is the whole answer, in plain language.
Reader Support
Readers support the site directly through Patreon (monthly), Ko-fi (one-time, by the coffee), and PayPal (one-time). That support pays for hosting, research tools, records, and the time the reporting takes. The Support page explains the options.
One honest note: reader support is not tax-deductible. Global Watchdog is not a 501(c)(3), so payments are gifts that keep the work going, not charitable donations.
Affiliate Commissions
Some product links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the retailer pays me a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. A small number of other affiliate partners cover areas I write about often, like pet care, cookware, and cord cutting.
Affiliate income does not change verdicts here. A product that pays a commission and stinks still gets called out, and rankings follow the research, not the payouts. The details live in the Affiliate Disclosure.
EduLingo Teaching Resources
I also sell Spanish teaching resources through my EduLingo store on Teachers Pay Teachers. Teachers buy lesson decks and classroom materials there, and that income helps support everything else I publish, including this site.
What Money Never Buys
Advertisers and supporters do not choose stories, approve stories, or soften stories. There is no sponsored content on this site, and nobody can pay for coverage or for a kinder review. If that ever changed, this page would say so.
