OUR PRIVACY POLICY

You guys aren’t “data” to us – you’re friends. And your privacy is no joke.

The main purpose for collecting each commenter’s email address (which truly will remain hidden once the comment is submitted) is so we know you’re a real person and not a spammer. If you send us an email, the address that you send it from will never be passed along either. So you won’t end up on some annoying mailing list or find tons of spam in your inbox.

If you write personal info like your full name or your email address in the body of your comment (or in the “Name” or “URL” field) this info can be viewed by anyone reading the comment section of that post. By contrast, your email address, as entered in the “E-mail” section of the comment form, will remain completely hidden from view and will never be shared.

DISCLAIMER

We’re laying down all the ins & outs of Georgia Watchdog with a bit of legalese sprinkled in for good measure. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    • Georgia Watchdog is a for-profit blog. It contains paid banner advertisements that are generated and managed by a third-party network. This site also includes relevant affiliate links (both in the content and on the sidebar) all of which we do our best to clearly mark as such. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases (which means that if you click on an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission). This does NOT result in any additional cost to you. The affiliate money we earn helps pay the fees to keep this site up and running – thanks for your support and your understanding!   Running a blog with heavy traffic is expensive and we need a way to help pay the bills.
    • GWMAC reserves the right to remove, replace, or move any images or content without prior announcement (site redesigns usually occur every few years). All photos that aren’t taken by Georgia Watchdog are credited and linked to their outside sources and are believed to be in the public domain and readily available on the Internet (published according to the U.S. Copyright Fair Use Act, title 17, U.S. Code). Any photos not credited to an outside source have been taken by Georgia Watchdog and are rights protected. Failure to link back and credit our site as their source constitutes a copyright violation.
    • Feel free to use an image or quote from an article or two from GWMAC  as long as they’re credited and accompanied by a link back to this site. Using our photos in bulk, even with a credit, is prohibited (be it for the purposes of a photo gallery, landing page, roundup, series of posts, or any other feature that duplicates a large portion of content). Please contact GWMAC for express permission if you’d like to use more than a few photos. Duplicating any of this site’s text (even if it’s credited to GW) is strictly prohibited. Quoting a few sentences with a link back to this site is acceptable but quoting entire paragraphs or full articles is not. Please paraphrase, summarize, or link to copy instead of copying and pasting it.

Did your eyes glaze over? Ours too. But now that we have that out of the way, we hope you enjoy probing every other nook and cranny of our site!
