Still No Decision on Zebulon Road Dispute

Bibb County Superior Court Judge Edgar Ennis Jr. gave both sides of Zebulon Road zoning dispute two weeks to respond to some legal issues in a case that pits residents who oppose plans for a shopping center against the zoning commission. 

Putnam General Hospital partners with Macon health system

The Medical Center of Central Georgia and Central Georgia Health System is teaming up with the Putnam General Hospital to provide more resources to the lake country.According to a news release from MCCG, the strategic partnership will allow the two hospitals to create and expand healthcare services for Putnam County and the surrounding region.

Bibb County deputies investigation gas station robbery

 A Macon robber is on the run after he took an undisclosed amount of money from a local gas station around 2:00 p.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies say the robbery took place 6001 Harrison Road in west Macon at the Raceway Gas Station.

Woman Dies in Apartment Fire

One Macon woman is dead after officials say she possibly left her stove on, causing a fire in her apartment.
Assistant Bibb Co. Coroner Lonnie Miley says 43-year-old Barbara Hill is thought to have died from smoke inhalation after the fire at her apartment at 4017 Napier Avenue in Macon

Handcuffed man accused of stealing Houston deputy’s cruiser

A Florida man is in Houston County jail after a deputy said he stole his cruiser Saturday afternoon.

The suspect, 21-year-old Seth Ray Stewart, was handcuffed – behind his back – when he allegedly took the car.

Arrest made in Bibb gas station robbery

Bibb County deputies arrested a Macon man Monday on charges related to a commercial robbery that took place at the Raceway Gas Station, 6001 Harrison Road, Sunday afternoon, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
